PC Dispatch: A Modern Web-Based Solution

GroupTalk's PC Dispatch is a state-of-the-art HTML5 application that runs directly in your web browser—Google Chrome is preferred for the best experience. Dispatch users can monitor multiple PTT groups and private calls simultaneously, manage queues, handle panic alarms and personal safety alerts, and view user locations in real time. The specific features available are centrally managed through the web admin portal.

For enhanced functionality, a Chrome extension can be installed to enable the use of external USB Push-to-Talk buttons, desktop microphones with PTT capabilities, and foot pedals for PTT operations.

Real-Time Location Tracking of Your Colleagues

View Live Positions in GroupTalk PC Dispatch or Access Location History in Web Admin

GroupTalk enables you to see your colleagues' real-time locations using the PC Dispatch or review their historical location data—breadcrumb trails—via the location history feature in the web admin portal.

By entering a user's name along with a specific date and time interval, you can display the corresponding breadcrumb trail on a map. This allows you to see when a user was at a particular location and their speed at that time.

We understand that location tracking raises privacy concerns. It's essential that this feature is enabled only by authorised personnel who have the right to do so. Tracked users must be informed and have given their consent.

The duration for which location data is stored is configurable, and the data is automatically deleted after the specified period. A "location viewing" access right must be assigned to individuals authorised to access this sensitive information.

Voice Recording

Efficiently Record, Store, and Replay All Voice Communications

GroupTalk offers a voice recording feature available both as a cloud service and an on-premise solution.

The recorder can be configured to capture and store any combination of group PTT communications, private calls, and voice monitoring during panic alarms. A user-friendly web-based tool allows you to play back recordings and export them into portable file formats when needed for evidence or training purposes.

All recordings are encrypted to ensure security, and a special "recorder" access right must be assigned within GroupTalk for a user to gain access to the recordings.

An audit log is maintained that documents who accessed recordings and when, providing transparency and compliance with privacy regulations.
